The Twenty Tour
The UK's 'top selling album group of the 21st century,' Westlife, have announced they're reuniting to celebrate their 20th anniversary!
Following the news on 3 October last year – Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian announced they’ll be reforming after their break-up 7 years earlier; signing a new record deal with Virgin EMI and going on a World tour to perform all the new and old hits, including their 14 consecutive UK No.1's.
It is with great pleasure to announce that Simon will join the boys on tour for the third time as their Musical Director after the 'Gravity Tour' in 2011 and ‘Greatest Hits (Farewell) Tour' in 2012.
'The Twenty Tour' is Westlife's thirteenth overall concert tour, breaking records to become their biggest and fastest-selling of all time, with 400,000 tickets sold in the first 48 hours! The tour kicks off in Belfast on 22 May and runs for a total of 44 shows across The UK, Denmark, Ireland & Asia – ending in Central Java, Indonesia on 31 August 2019. The shows will mark the first time the band have toured together since their break-up in 2012.
As a live act, Westlife have sold 5 million concert tickets worldwide. They still hold the record for the most shows played at The SSE Arena in Belfast by any Band (50) and Wembley Arena (28). They sold out Croke Park Stadium in a record breaking 5 minutes in 2012.
Westlife have sold over 55 million records worldwide, and are the only band to have their first 7 singles enter the UK chart at No.1. They've also had the most singles of any artist to debut at No.1 in the UK. Overall the band have had an incredible 14 No.1 singles, behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles. They have had 33 No.1 albums worldwide.
